Triple with Incivek doesn't seem to be working for me

Got that dreaded call from the doctor's office at 7 am this morning.  Finished my 12 weeks of Incivek 4 weeks ago and had a 16 week PCR last week.  My viral count went from 53 at week 12 to 456 at week 16.  Have an appointment tomorrow...not sure what to think.  It's probably time to hang this treatment up....Bummer of a Monday!

Very sorry.

This is a concern of many and I recall the feeling in 1998 inf/rba and 2002 peg-inf/riba failure. However, if you were doing Incivek then I am certain you were already past the HCV history.

My prayers are with you and your doctors as you decide what is next.

Again sorry,

It's tough getting that kind of news and you have my sympathies.  The future does look promising if that's any consolation...

Yes there are many drugs in development that show great promise for partial and non/null responders!
A good thing about the response guided therapy is though it seems like total failure have to stop, you don't have to go for the full 48 weeks  (or more) like we did in the olden days and still not get an SVR.
If they stop you, don't despair. Be as good to your liver as is possible and soon they will have new drugs that will work and (I think that) some day it will be a fully curable disease!!!

I am so sorry, smile.  The only good thing is that you don't have to suffer out the 48.  There will be better treatments in s few years.

Hello ..sorry to hear the triple therapy does not seem to be working for you. The resaon for this is usually your  INF. response is not good enough.

Given all that is in the pipeline, and possibly an INF. free regime down the road ,there is still lots of hope.

Best wishes to you...
Will

Sorry to hear that. I have yet to start my treatment with the incivek but I read here that it is not an easy treatment to say the least and I just thought I would send a message of encouragement to you for what ever it's worth and I am hoping your Dr. visit tomorrow goes better for you.
Sincerely Best of Luck to You!!!
