I'm sorry about your husband and your loss - and the situation you find yourself in as well.
We had a woman on here...haven't seen her here for awhile because thankfully she got through treatment and got her cure and is out there enjoying a well-earned life - she had *nobody* during treatment either....except for us. There are ways to get through this relying on your own resources and also finding resources for yourself. You might want to look into a Hep C support group in your area or hook up with a counsellor if those services are available to you in some way, even through a non-profit agency.
You won't necessarily lose your hair. Mine thinned to the point where I was pawing at it all the time but I'm the only one who noticed. Others lost ... ALOT of hair. The fact that you are going into the Boceprevir trial is terrific - great results on that trial and I daresay well worth temporarily losing your hair and wearing a wig if it comes to that....but how about take it a step at a time. There will potentially be other side effects to deal with as you go through treatment and you can take it as it comes. That's all any of us were ever able to do - take it a day at a time and determine to get through it as best we could.
This is a great place to start - and welcome to the forum.
Trish

We will be here for you. Your not going to go through this alone.
Sorry to hear about your husband. as far as side effects go ,it varies from person to person from hardly any at all to quite severe and any where inbetween, hair thinning being one of those.
. I JUST WANT TO PREAPRE FOR THE WORST AND HOPE FOR THE BEST.

Yes you can lose a bunch of your hair but not all - but it grows back. As you have seen first hand - losing your hair is nothing compared to end stage liver disease. It's mostly a difficult treatment but completely doable for most of us who continue to work and have a life while treating.
