Finished study!!!

Hi everyone!

Just the latest update on my TMC435 study: I went to my week 24 visit yesterday and finally heard the wonderful news that I am done with the study!!! Everything looks great, I was on the real med and I responded to it. Now I just need for my body to eliminate all these toxins to start feeling like myself again. I am super happy and excited that my nightmare is over!!!

To all of you on this or any other study or treatment: Have FAITH! At times I felt like giving up because of the horrendous side effects, but on the long run, it was all worth it.  I still have to continue having blood work done until September of next year, to make sure everything stays the same and the Hep C doesn't come back.

There is hope for a cure, and nothing comes easy, it's a huge sacrifice so hang in there, be patient, and have Faith. Good luck to all of you, thank you for all your support when I needed it the most, God Bless all of you and may He give you the strength and courage to continue your journey.

I will keep an eye out for your SVR post!  How often are they doing lab work after you complete this trial?  Five times is a lot, they really monitor closely.... Let us hear how your doing, good luck!
With SOC, They did a 1 month post tx lab, that's when I found out about my relapse.  I'm just happy there are newer meds on the market these days for null responders and us relapsers!

It absolutely feels great to be done, and the feeling of accomplishment is incredible. Of course the waiting starts now and with 5 more blood works I have to keep a positive attitude. I relapsed once, so I have to continue praying that everything will be just fine.

Thanks for your message.

Have Faith, I relapsed 6 months after my first treatment back in 2004, and the Hep C came back worse than ever. Sometimes the first time is not enough, just keep a positive attitude that it WILL work.

Thank you. Faith and positive attitude are the two most important things during a treatment, without them, it's almost impossible.

Thank you so much. I will definitely continue my "visits" and staying in touch! The wonderful people I met through the forum helped me during my tough times, and there are others who will be needing me too, so this is a legacy we have to continue.

Congrats!!!  Just think, you can go back to a normal life and eat when you want to, not centered around meds.  Praying the best for you in the long run!
