Most important consideration is her liver condition when deciding how urgent the need to have treatment ... Do you know her liver condition ?

Has she had a liver biopsy or Fibroscan ?

Her Gastro should know the possibility and way to importing the new meds there ... need to ask him if he will help ....

i am from pakistan.my mother needs those  medicine for hep c.she is under care of one of the best gastroentrologist in my country. he suggested her new treatment but not sure how can we get it. dont know what is the policy of merk for international patients.will it be available here soon?or do we have to go to usa for this.if anybody have any idea then please let me know.as my mother is geno 1 b and her viral load is 70 lac some thing iu /ml.
do we need to treat her now or we should wait for further mediicine in pipeline.if yes  then how can we get  those mediicne rigt now.

It maybe possible to have your Gastro/Hepa special order them now that they are FDA approved ...

I'm in Indonesia and asked about this a few months ago .. The Dept. of Health in Indo was the one's i contacted and that was their response.

It seems very important if you do try the new drugs ... that your doctor is educated on the protocol, side effects, mutation concerns of these drugs as they are new and have a different protocol than Inf/Riba only ...
