after treatment....

NG7
I just got off treatment for Hep C- 1a, on April 5, 2014.  My doc told me to wait for Solvaldi (sofosbufir) that was going to come out in December 2013.  So on Jan 10th, I started treatment with Interferon, Ribavirin, and Solvaldi.  I had contracted Hep C in the very late 70's or very early 80's when I worked as a nurse in the O.R. and was poked with a needle from a Hepatitis positive patient.  (In those days Hep C wasn't defined - only A & B).  It took 33 years or rather in hindsight, about 8 years ago I started exhibiting symptoms that I thought was due to Thyroid or Menopause because I am in my very early 60s and it made sense to blame it on either age or the other two......

My doc said that Tylenol was the only OTC drug he wanted me to use and at only 2000mg daily if needed.  Tylenol never has done anything for me.  Now that I'm off the drugs, I am so 'deconditioned' that I am having muscle PT so I can get to the point of getting back to exercise.  I can't do much, can't walk around a store for long still but I'm trying hard to keep moving.  Problem is:  I'm exhausted and in a lot of pain just trying to use my muscles.    I used to lift weights, ride my horse, play tennis and swim and was a very active Realtor so I know what body conditioning is and I'm extremely worried that I'll never get back to that level.

I started Advil taking 3 in the AM and 3 in the PM with tons of relief and got the ok to take it short term from my doc.  He was advocating Tylenol but when you have tons of aches and pains trying to move, what else can you do,

I'm awaiting 12 weeks off treatment to get my definitive 'cure' with two blood works in between.  As of 4 weeks, the virus was undetectable so I'm hoping things will be ok.

I have no background of drugs or alcohol so ascites, fibrosis, etc.,  wasn't an issue but I hope I don't screw things up with
Aleve - I started taking Aleve because it's longer lasting and I really need something or I'm back doing 'nothing' again like I've done the past 2 years waiting for treatment..........

What do you think?
