Good luck Javi. You might be able to get some financial help with the meds if you qualify. You can worry about that when its time to treat.

I had my biopsy on Thursday should have results on Monday, the gastro doc told me he does not expect much damage from biopsy being that my ultra sound i previously had and my blood counts looks good, I hope he is right, i would love to be able to wait for better treatment, I have 4 kids and cannot afford to be out of work and I hear the treatment is expensive, so I will let you guys know, thanks for the feedback.

There is no way to say you have mild to medium liver damage without a biopsy. If you had cirrhosis your platelets would be low. If your cirrhosis was severe, your bilirubin, platelets and red and white counts would be abnormal. So all we can say, without the biopsy is that you have hepatitis C nd your liver damage is likely not extremely advanced.. Your ALT and AST are the least important of all the tests as they fluctuate in hepatitis C and it is common for hep C patients to have mildly elevated liver enzymes. Good luck with that biopsy result.

Your platelets are good, which is an excellent sign. Your white blood cells are up. Are you coming down with something?

well i know i have the virus because of the viral load test I am 1.5 million, but I was worried about how much damage it might have caused.
I guess the biopsy will tell me soon enough, hopefully i can wait to treat

Im no expert, but i feel your AST/ALT results are the most important to look at,ALT is the main one, looks like you levels here pretty much normal but no 100% proof you are virus free, but it is a promising indicator you are ok.Id bet your ok
