my boyfriend and i

Are having a baby boy .my boyfriend has hep c .i was tested and I don't have it .could I get it from him still and our unborn?.he has had it for 8 yrs from needles when he was 16.he does not use anything anymore.and I never have.

Ok thank you for the info.i just don't know about things like this.i love him and i want to have a family with him.and not just stay friends.but thanks guys.

You boyfriend can't give your unborn child hepatitis C.  Only you could and you don't have hep C.  hepatitis C is transmitted by blood to blood contact.
It's not that easy to get due to the fact it has to get into your bloodstream.  
You shouldn't use his razor or toothbrush.  Things that could involve transfer of blood to your blood.  But the chances of getting hep C by living in the same household and having monogamous sex ...is rare.

As long as there is no blood to blood you have nothing to worry about. and  there is no way your unborn baby can contact it from him...... Good luck with your family.............
