I had that same issue both before during and after tx.
the main issue with appetite and hcv I think has to do with the way the hcv virus resets the metabolic rate. It tends to thrive in a sugar rich environment and is somehow able to effect both the level of endocrine secretions and the cellular uptake of fuel. It also effects ghrelin and leptin and other chemicals known to signal hunger and satiety.
It might be advantagous for you to have a HOMA scoring done to see if you are truly clear of insulin resistance.
Whether you are or not, it will pay you to try to reset your metabolic rates by forcing yourself to eat early, eat 3 meals, a couple small snacks, and try not to eat a large meal late at night...the body wants the latter...but this feeds the virus, eating more fibrous foods and eating often will help your liver inflammation immensely.
I suggest "THE ZONE" a book that explains well metabolism and has a diet that benefits liver patients and diabetics.
It might also help you to read up on metabolic syndrome, and to see an endocrinologist and make sure you are not in the 50% of hcv patients whose endocrine system has become sluggish or all but shut down due to this disease.

Hey Coreyboy. I am currently on tx and I can not eat until evening time. I seem to build up the courage to eat around that time, cuz I know that my stomach will be in more knots and the trips to the bathroom every five minutes suck out loud. Be drinking pepto right before I eat a small very small meal. I have lost 30 pounds since I started tx.
