Yahoo, I do like emergencE so I will take some of the I cant stand the taste of B vitamins, Exercise? yike, I should take the dogs for a walk, my mom does that as well as the kid across the street.
I think green tea might be a good thing to, part of the problem is I have no motivation to do the right thing, like make a nice green chai tea w/ almond milk and take it to work. etc.
It seemed for me week 12 starting showing the drop in hgb, to the level of reducing the riba
good luck all

Well, they called yesterday and my hgb went down again from 10.2 to 9.  They have cut my riba again, I am only on 600 mg (100 mg morning & 200 mg at night) now, I am not a small woman 5' 7.5" and 165 lbs.  I am very worried about this dose reduction stopping my progress (still <25 since week 2) I am on shot nine and no change in vl so far they will not alow procrit because of the study  (same one as Mary4now and researchmonkey .   I feel awful, but am trying to make the best of it since we are out of town visiting with old friends that are   here in Texas from FL and Cal and have done us a wonderful favor by putting a new hardwood floor in our classic 1978 Airstream.  How can you be down  when you have great friends like that.  How dangerous is hgb 9.  I am dragging around and trying to keep my chin up but know I will have to cut my visit short and go home to bed. All good thoughts in my direction are appreciated.
Thanks to all.  Sherri

I haven't gone through this experience yet (and hope not to) so I cannot tell you anything other than hang in there and I hope you feel better soon.  You are only a few weeks away from that 16 week mark and I hope for you that it will be over for you at that point. Other things that you might try are Emergen-c (lots of vitamins) or 5hour Energy which has very little caffeine and a lot of B vitamins.  I checked and the Emergen-C is definitely okay to take in our trial.

When my husband first dose reduced (1200 to 1000), he was pretty anemic already, and he didn't feel much of a difference at all; because it simply stabilized his hgb drop, he still felt lousy, just not worse.  The second time he was dose-reduced (1000 to 800) he was also doing procrit 2x a week, so he felt a little better about 4 or 5 days after reducing, more so because his hgb started to climb back up.  Hope you get some energy back soon! ~eureka

I was also reduce from 1000mg to 800 mg while on tx for geno2 all that did for me was to stop the fall of my hgb. I do not have much energy but I get around OK but can't do very much without getting winded. Shot 11 Tonight almost 1/2 way. I think you and I are going to make it. Best of Luck.

Hi Mary, I don't have any experience in this area but I do know some of the pitfalls of tx.  All I can tell you is excercise promotes energy and you gotta force yourself sometimes. Have you tried RedBull or a B12 shot?  You may want to consider improvising and trying two RedBulls, it's only a few bucks and you may be surprised or they have those B12 tablets which are sublingual.  good luck
