I am two months into treatment and I feel as if I have every side effect u can have. I'm tired I've vomited..I'm covered all over with a rash and I m really having a hard time.. I see some people don't have any issues which makes me feel like a drama queen... I have a pretty high pain tolerance. So am I over reacting? I don't know anyone else that has gone through this..
I took my second shot on Friday. My side effects have been minimal too. Some aches, which Iboprophin knocks right out. A bit more fatigue than normal. Insomnia started in about 5 days after the first shot - now a good sleep in 6 hours. Had low grade fever after shot # 2. Having a weird dull pain at night in one of my toes - like a cross between numb and pins and needles. Has anyone else experienced this one?
Thanks to all for your input, it really does help. 2nd shot about 2 hours ago. Back feeling achy, neeling not just right. Holding on. Guess you guys just had to share, lol.
I am on my eighth shot. So far no side effects other then being
extremly tired.
Don't be tooo eager to feel the effects, cause once they do take effect, it isn't as fun!!
I went about 30 something weeks before feeling anything dramatic. Then meds started effecting thinking and judgement, and anxiety and other fun things started poping up..
One thing I WILL tell you that helped me stay focused and sx free, "Is that the meds will only effect YOU, if YOU let them"
I had a good laugh at jmjm530 remark tnat the sides are all at his place!!! I think however jmjm that we are SHARING them tonight! Bad flu-like night even at week 22/48. Frog...enjoy the good times and don't worry ...the drugs are doing thier job even if you don't feel them. Many people worry when they feel GOOD! I worry when I feel BAD! I was sailing o.k. through tx until at week 3 or 4 I realized something was wrong....my red blood cells dropped very low and Procrit was prescribed. I have not heard of anyone not having sides....some have them much worse than others.....they will most likely come in some degree and when they do I hope they are mild for you. I think alot shifts in the body's chemistry at about week 3-6. Good luck and take each day at a time with this....it is very unpredictable.

re: 1st shot of Pegasis, where are the side effects?
-----------------
They're all at my place. If you really want some let me know. LOL.
Seriously, you may be one of the lucky ones with few or no sides. On the other hand, it's not uncommon to start with no sides and then develop some later in treatment. Such was my case and many others. No rule of thumb here. Just enjoy things while the sun's out and be prepared for cloudy days if they come.
Frog,,,lol Sounds like you are disappointed and out looking for a few sides. Really,,,it does sound wonderful and hope it continues but I don't think I have seen a person yet,,,get totally out of sides so just tighten the seat belt...
A life without sides allows the top and the bottom to crash into each other. Admit it Scott-you miss the sides. Maybe a painful hobby would help. frank
You sound like you will do fine. As for me I am 43, got hep C from a blood transfusion after a car accident in 87. I was treaterd in 2001 with peginterferon the side effects were diabiling from the start. Had to quit treatment due to the extremity of the side effects. Haven't been the same since. Now they want me to try Pegasis so just started, scared though. I have type 1a.
I took shot number 2 lsat Friday...no sides for me other than achy bones.....
a background below on me....
a quick background..I am 25 years old. I got hep c from a blood transfusion when I was born. I am type 1b, my viral load is 178,000. I just had my liver biopsy and it is a 2/2. I am told that is pretty darn good. I am sure glad I never drank in my entire life. I am doing pegasys/copegasys...the interon and pills. So how was treatment..sides...etc? Do you think I have a shot of clearing with what I have told you so far....
