Can you supply some context? Do you have Hep C? Are you treating?
No alcohol and plenty of water are just good advice in general.
Yes, Hep C, genotype 2, finishing second week of Pegasys
Hi again, Rupro—
Assuming you’re not cirrhotic, you should be able to metabolize and synthesize food as well as anyone without HCV. With that said, we’ll all benefit from decent eating habits. There isn’t any diet that’s specific to Hep C or its treatment, though. You might hear anecdotal reports in here from others stating ‘no sugar, lean meats, etc.’ I’m unaware of any real science behind this; eat sensibly, and enjoy—

Ahh, congrats on Genotype 2 :-), wish I was that lucky.
I'm not aware of any specific guidelines either... I think just good advice in general, is to avoid excesses of any type.
I have an iron overload issue due to a diet too rich in iron, so I've been told to avoid that. But, I'm not treating, yet.
To echo Bill, sense and moderation in all things.
Good luck my friend!
Genotype 2 not always lucky. Relapsed at 3 months after SOC.
Hi ,
This exactly what my Doc. told me too. To eat everything, except food with additives, fast food (excluded completely) , cooked, meat only cooked and grilled, cheeses light, not heavy, no cream, if you like sweets, only chocolate dark is advisable, and cakes that are light, and contain no too much cream . Eat lot of green vegetables, but not too much shpnach, cause it contains iron which is not good for damaged liver. Salads, fruit seasonal, ets..... Olive oil, and lemon juice over the salads. Curcumin (Curry powder) is anti cancer and very ,very good for liver, I use it , artichoks, . From herbal teas, Dandelion, Mint, Licorice root , Dandelion root and leaves. No alchohol, no cigarettes.
