Go out and get one of the AM/PM pill holders so you can check check check that you've taken them.  Also, taking them at breakfast and dinner is good because you want to take them with fat and mostly for me it was because even if I wasn't hungry I saw others around me eating and that was a good reminder.  Plus, I got really obsessed about it and would check that pill box constantly (I even bought extra pills to work and would call home and say are you sure it's Tuesday -are you sure those pills are gone from this morning?) Heck it might make you look a bit crazy to your family but.......if it helps do it!

The docs say not to bother trying to make up a missed dosage.  You have to remember to take ALL the pills and shots at the right time. You don't want to give the virus any chance to cause you a breakthrough or relapse.............no way!  I don't think one missed dose will do too much because they do have a very long half life but you have to get into the habit and not get out of it...winning against this disease is worth the double checking (or triple, quadruple checking).

Good luck!

Forget about it and proceed with normal dosing. I would not recommend adding the missed doses. The reason being is that you are in your first week and things are changing inside fast enough and adding the extra the pill will hit you hard because your system has not reached cmax at this point which takes about two weeks but if you’re a gamer go for it. I did and got slapped… then I read the inserts.

Because you are so early in treatment I would go with an extra tablet for the next 3  doses, it is very important to get those levels up and the most virus killing is done in the first 4 weeks of tx.  Rocker is right on the money, you need to get yourself a pill box and an alarm system to prevent this happening again.  I used my cellphone to notify me of the time to take my tabs and I always took them with food as it helped to establish the routine.  Compliance with meds is essential during tx.

All the best!

Ive done this before,it also depends on the amount of time you missed the dose,i missed a few times, and i was only a few hours late.but if you totally forgot to take the dose by the time you next one was due, there aint too much ya can do,except just keep on scedule...BTW....get some alarms set up .i had 3 clocks set up.and get a pill box...or it will happen again

As long as you took your correct dosage today I think you'll be ok.  I think package insert recommends if a dosage is skipped you take you proceed with normal dosage the next day but you could take an extra one tonight, one in the morning and another during the day and it wouldn't do any harm. I've actually done it and wasn't bothered at all.  You want to make sure you get the serum level of ribavirin built up in your blood especially during the first weeks of treatment so try take the ribavirin with your morning and evening meals which is a good reminder to take it as well as ensuring maximum absorption.
