Yep, 48 for me, too. Make sure there's an extra seat at the table for me too, :) and who's cooking what?? Good new on the Hgb, Billy. Bet you feel much better.
I'm so glad to hear bout the blood work. They promise me Rx Tuesday. I hope my results r as good as yours! You paid a tuff price. I know I'm on 48 ne way... We can do this... Righto? :) Karen
thanks everyone ...i am much better then before....i'll never forget that....i'll be glad when the incivek is done...4 more weeks...if the sx are doable i'll be ok with the 48...that would mean the start of summer to complete...i'll be done just before i'm 60...it's hard for me to complain too much as i have lots of help at home...in fact i'm spoiled...and so many folks have been through so much and so many are going through really tough times...i'm 2/2...not too bad....billy
Glad your hemoglobin is on the rise... hopefully your energy level too! It's tough to have to look at the long haul when treatment is so rough, but with the rebounding hemoglobin, hopefully the rest of the 48 won't feel so bad. I'm from the better-safe-than-sorry camp, so I have to say I think it's especially a good idea for you with the early dose reductions. You've got the dragon pinned down... don't let up now! Wishing you all the best. ~eureka
Billy,
Good news on the numbers, sad to hear about the 48. I am on the 48 week plan too, that just means we get to have twice the fun! I had a cbc done today but the np was on vacation so it is driving my nuts that I have to wait until Tuesday to get the results. I think I am becoming obsessed with my lab results ... Hang in there!
So happy to hear you are feeling better.sorry you have to go 48.aj
Glad the HgB is better, bummer about the 48.
billy...glad you are feeling better and it looks like procrit is doing it"s job .
If that Pcr was <43DET.and also given the fact you had a dose discontinuation early..it sounds wise they advised you to do 48....
Good luck billy

Billy, I am glad that your hgb is up - that must be helping you to feel better.
In regards to your VL --> my doctor told me that the PCR/VL test tells what the actual number is if below 43. Did your vl test do that ? Supposedly, if the vl test result is negative above 43, then it runs again to see if there is a vl number below the 43. The doctor said this was the Quest Heptimax TMA which if the PCR/VL is negative, it then does the TMA to see if there is a lower VL number and that would say exactly what the number is and if it is UND. Hope I am explaining this properly. Anyway, I guess I am wondering if your doctor said your result was 0 to 43...how do you know what it is? as 0 would be negative.
Good Luck with everything. Ginger p
Dose reducing or not enough riba is risky business and one of the biggest reasons for relapse. It makes sense that they want you to go the 48. As you know getting to und as quickly as possible is only the first part of puzzle staying und for good is another challenge.
Good luck and I am glad to hear your hgb is up.
Keep taking that riba!

glad to hear about your hgb increase. you must feel alot better now. mine is still 10.6. good luck with everything. have a great week-end. belle
If you get rid HCV once and for all by doing the 48 weeks, it will be the ultimate good news. Glad your Hgb is cooperating.
Wishing you the best,
