I WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM LOOKING LIKE I WAS ABOUT TO DELIVER A BABY BUT IT WAS MY LIVER. NEVER BEEN A DRINKER, OCCASIONAL RECREATIONAL DRUG USER, BUT ANYWAY I HAVE MY FIRST APPT TOMORROW MORNING AT 8:00A WITH THE LIVER SPECIALIST, I AM TERRIFIED OF DOCTORS, TESTING, NEEDLES, ETC.  BEEN SICK OFF AND ON FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS. 45 Y FEMALE, SMOKER, AND FEEL LIKE MY HEAD IS TURNING. people think they have to have been a drinker or druggie to get cirrohsis but it's not true.
some rx's are as hard on the liver as alcohol.
