NO, do not shave your head... it is really only noticeable to you... just dont wash your hair as much, that helps alot

Please do not shave your head.  Other people said that to me and I thought, what?!  I think you should wait to see how tx affects you individually
Not everyone experiences hair loss or thinning.  I have a lot of thinning but decided not to cut my hair and now I have baby hairs coming in 4 weeks after finishing tx.  I have some nice scarves to wear to keep the chill off my head :)
Last tx I cut my hair and was so sorry later.  This time I am waiting it out
Good luck to you

My wife can no longer make out the words, "I Love You" I shaved in my back hair due to all this hair loss.  Any other men experience this frustration??  ;-))

On a serious note, I've noticed that rash and the amount of itch appear to be related to the hair loss.  The few months I had the itchiest scalp is when I noticed the most thinning.  Fortunately, I started with a thick head (of hair) so not too apparent.  My barber did notice the thinning and the straight hair.  We had a good discussion.  I also notice thinning of the eyebrows, to me obvious.  The llama lashes are getting annoying......

Hi,
I definitely wouldn't shave your head unless you want to do it for fun. I had long pretty hair before treatment; I didn't shave it as my doctor said no one would notice the hair loss but me. Like ResearchMonkey (nice to see you on here BTW) I too had a severe scalp rash (and rash in most other places).  I lost probably 70% of my hair and even tho it wasn't thick to begin with it looks ok. I am 3 months post tx and my hair started falling 2 months in to the tx and kept going after. There were several weeks after where it came out in small clumps but finally seems to have stopped. I use shampoo with volumizer and blow dry and it fluffs out ok.

If you don't want to be two toned maybe you couldn't lighten your hair before tx so it wouldn't be so noticeable? I did that several years back so I could let the grey show and it was the best thing I ever did. Grey can be awesome and it easy to grow out if your hair is blondy. Good Luck in tx!

There are several natural remedies that are claimed to help with hair loss, but it's important to keep in mind that there is limited scientific evidence to support their effectiveness. Here are a few natural remedies that are often suggested for hair loss:

Essential oils: Some people claim that using essential oils, such as rosemary, lavender, and thyme, can help to stimulate hair growth. These oils can be massaged into the scalp or added to a shampoo or conditioner.

Supplements: Some supplements, such as biotin, folic acid, and zinc, are claimed to help with hair growth. However, it's important to talk to a healthcare professional before taking any supplements, as they may have potential side effects or interact with medications you are taking.

Herbal remedies: Some herbs, such as saw palmetto and green tea, are claimed to help with hair loss. These herbs can be taken in supplement form or applied topically to the scalp.

Scalp care: Taking care of your scalp can help to promote healthy hair growth. This includes washing your hair regularly with a gentle shampoo, avoiding harsh styling products, and avoiding tight hairstyles that pull on the hair.

Address underlying causes: In some cases, hair loss may be caused by underlying medical conditions, such as iron deficiency, thyroid problems, or hormonal imbalances. It's important to address any underlying causes in order to effectively treat hair loss.

It's important to keep in mind that hair loss can be a complex issue, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized recommendations and to rule out any underlying medical conditions.
