head cold

its been five days scence 2nd shot im doing ok, but, now i have a head cold and don;t know what to take that want upset my med , im on triple by the way . i think i can fight it but it wood be nice to have something to help , just being safe    [  joey]

I think most people can tell the difference between "flu-like symptoms" and a cold.  Just feeling cr@ppy, achy joints, headache, general malaise or sneezing, coughing, etc. caused by a rhinovirus are kinda different.  ;)

I've had two colds since Halloween.  No fun at all.  I hadn't recovered from the cough from the first one when I got the second one, the week between xmas and ny.  Still have that one.

I caught a cold around shot 12.  I checked with my doc on everything. Saline nasal spray helped the most then I just road it out, it lasted a week. Hard to tell the difference sometimes btw colds and tx sympts. I still use the saline cleans once a week, swear by it.

I can't say for sure but if you look at the list of possible side effects, just from interferon, it seems to include everything under the sun.

If you're worried, call the doctor.
I don't think there is a cure for the common cold.
Rest, drink fluids and give it time. Do what you would do if you weren't doing tx, just don't use nyquil or anything else alcohol based.

I caught a cold Thankdgiving and still have it( not that bad now). Saline Nasal Spray was the best recomendation from a Dr. You can use it all day and not burn the lining of your nose, like a decongestion might do from using it so long.

Are you sure it's a head cold?

The main side effects of treatment are, 'flu like symptoms.'
Its more likely this is what you are experiencing.

You can take tylenol, drink tea, use a heating pad, all those cosy things.
