1 Month Post TX

It's been a month today since I finished tx. My cough is gone, I can sleep,I can think better and energy level is about 30% but feeling better each day. I have had a bout with the gout and don't know if it is because tx or what but it's getting better. I'm ready to exercise like I use to but something tells me to take it easy for a while and not push myself. I still come to this site each night and things have changed since the new Meds are being used and I hope all of you achieve SVR.  I'll be staying in touch.  Henry

Congrats Henry, take your time getting back to speed - no hurry there.  And yes - that cough.  Can't wait till that is gone, too.

Hi Henry!
It feels great, eh? It took me about 3 months before my blood levels got back to normal -I'd forgotton about the dry, aggravating cough! No amount of water could make it go away...
Listen to your body and take your time. On the average, most folks clear the Riba from their fat cells in 3-6 months. If you are still low energy at 3 months post, get your thyroid levels (TSH, Free T-3, Free T-4) and blood counts checked. It is not uncommon for the thyroid to be a bit pokey or some residual anemia for a bit after finishing. Congrads on finishing (to researchmonkey also)! ~mm
