High alt/ast level past therapy

hello,

i wonder if any people here met this problem?i have hep-c for 16 years and my alt/ast levels were
always around 60.but now 2 months after finishing my tx they stay at 150/80.

after my 48 weeks therapy(partial respond, wich means i startet at 360000 vl, gone to 300 at week 24, but gone to 5000again at week 48) my alt level are at 150.ast is at 80,y-gt at 130.

my thera finished end juli 2009.till this day my alt/ast levels have always been around the 60-70 .last years biopsy said f3.

is it possible that the therapy did speed up the inflamation?
my prof said that i not have to worry to much cause that alt levels do not show the real damage from a liver.he made a hyaluronat test also (an around 15-20 others) wich was fine(i have 12,till 60 is in the norm he said)

i hope some poeple here can help out from my big worries i have now from this numbers.

thanks to  nygirl7 and jj1973(btw im born 73 too)

i hope i can get in trials with telaprevir or boceprevir soon.

its good to know that they hit the market in 2 years anyway.
so if there s no trial around for me, in 2 years in can go with the new drugs anyway.
im 36 years old and i hope i will last some more years.

so right now the only thing i can do is waiting and hope.i startet to drink milk thistle drops 3 times a day.

this forum is very helpfull for me,with some great users around.

greetings from swwitzerland

I think comeagain said it great - I dont know too much about relapsing and high liver enzymes but I wanted to say I am very sorry about your situation.  The PIs should be out shortly and they seem to be working miracles for relapsers.  I hope you are able to get success with them too!

3months post first tx after relapsing my alt went up double times it ever has been,then  6 months later they went down again to just slightly
over normal.
It is very common when relapsing, that alt ast goes up and then after some time back to what they use to be before treatment, my nurse told me when I got the high alt result
