Hi and welcome. The procedure that you've described is typically normal when taking blood. As a medical professional, I'm pretty certain that her utmost concern would be not catching a virus herself. I do not believe that she would put you or herself in danger. Also most technicians use gloves when drawing blood.
When drawing blood the nurse (medical professional) usually massages your arm to find a vein. Sometimes they will tap, tap, tap, your arm so that a good vein will pop up. As someone with small veins, they sometimes have me do odd things to get a big enough vein to show especially when taking a few vials of blood
I would not have any worries or concerns that she was trying to infect you. She may have been having a bad day, or she just may be a little strange.
You are OK
.....Kim
