interferon shot schedule for monday will be put off till thursday ?

hey  folks   hope all are well...trial nurse  just called to reschedule my 18 week pcr test  scheduled for this  Monday  to  Thursday... and to inform me  that   at present [may  be resolved  by  monday} there seems to be a shortage of interferon for  trial  participants..... lovely.......i  asked her if  putting of  this injection for two days  would possibly  affect  my "status"..she assured me that at this stage of   tox and still undetectable.. it   would not be  that  critical....to be  a few days late..hmmmmm  hate like hell to risk the  game now on a few days delay...  any  opinions  advice  folks ?  tia

I think you should be okay. I don't think that they would compromise the trial, there is much to much involved for them to mess it up.

The shot has a longer half life than 7 days, especially if you are on Pegasys. I can't remember how many days, but you should have enough Peg in your body to keep the level up.

Also since you are on a PI on top of this. I would say not to worry.

What week are you at? I don't like it but if it's very late Wolf I guess there is no choice really. Now if you don't get SVR you are always going to think it was that one late shot - that would really bug me!!!! Tell her to pick one of the other patients to not give the shot to but you insist on getting it!
