Good on ya Big Daddy!

God damn I hate to hear relapse! Ribman - there have been other GT2s who retreated with 2-drug SOC and SVRed. Riba resistance, Insulin resistance, riba lead in zre all things to learn about. Suggest you look for posts from FLguy who it a text book case in retreating after GT2 relapse.

So sorry to hear that  :o(

Many of us on here are relapsers and we can relate, 3 times for me and starting my 4th tx tomorrow. Maybe this time!

Like will says, take the best care of your liver and body that you can and try to keep your outlook positive.

The thing that helped me the most is going to the gym most every day. This surprised me because that is absolutely the last thing I EVER felt like doing. I was tough at first but I feel better for it than I have in many years. I have just started weight lifting too and am building back muscle mass that was wasting away. Maybe give that a shot or at least some mild physical activity each day. Yoga, prayer, and meditation have also helped me and those are much easier on your body too and helped me get over the relapses pretty quickly.

Like was said, although your tx didn't result in an SVR, your liver got a nice vacation. I have been cirrhotic for the 8 years that I have been diagnosed and have been mostly stable although my INR is creeping up a little.

And don't forget to live your life everyday!!!

New treatments are fast becoming a reality and hopefully we make it to see SVR and if not, we didn't take it lying down!

Peace Out,
Chris

Sorry to hear this ribman.  I hope you'll be able to to get in to see your hepatologist soon.  I don't know much about g2 either, but I would imagine your doc would want you to do an ultrasound or a CT scan and a biopsy to check to see if there's been progression of your liver damage.  I don't know what the next treatment options are for g2, but hopefully your doc can monitor you and keep you informed.

Oh Geeshhhh !   My heart is breaking for you.   I am geno type 1 A, and when I spoke to the GI and asked , " What If",   I go all through my treatment " UND" and then at my post 6 months Blood workups, come back .     He said I am done for now , until new treatment is available.   But again, I am a 1 A.   Not sure what the protocol is for 2.
My Prayer for you is to keep the Faith and dont give up.  I will be praying for you.   Livinontheedge.
P.S.    I am done with tx this saturday and will have my bloodwork done on Tuesday, so I am freaking too !
