There are lots of other diseases to worry about rather than hepc...make sure next time you go out in the rain you remember to cover up.

the average time of seroconversion for hep c is 50 days or so.  Your 60 day neg means the fat lady is not singing yet but she is on the stage, turning on the microphone and the band is warming up.

Hep c is not a classic Std as Hbv and Hiv are.  Sexual transmission is rare, even more so female to male.

Imo, go in for 1 more antibody test at 100 days.  99% sure it will be neg.  Then move on with life and remember the worry and anxiety of this for next time.

Nick: i had unprotected sex numerous times with a hep c positive female

I'm going to assume this was not in a single night or you are going to make a lot of the men here jealous.

In any event, sexual transmission of HCV is uncommon and from female to male even more uncommon -- all which appear to be verfied by yournegative  test. High risk sexual practices like anal sex, as well as sex outside of a monagamous relationship increases the risk somewhat.

In the future, probably best to use a condom -- at least during the menstrual cycle -- to minimize the risk further, as HCV is transferred blood-to-blood. Also, do not share any personal items such as a toothbrush, razor, hair brush, etc, with the young lady as there may be micro-droplets of blood on them.

Also, if you're really concerned, and/or continue to see the lady, you have the option of getting tested at a future date.

Meanwhile, enjoy the relationship numerously.
