More that a year after successful treatment I am experiencing extreme anxiety and panic with no medical relief.

I have been seeing a psychiatrist for it but anti-depressants  don't touch the panic or anxiety and the only temp relief I get is from the 2x's a day xanax I take but these only last for about 4 hours.  Before my numerous hep c treatments I never experienced panic or anxiety and don't no what to do next .  I can't live like this.  Anyone have suggestions on other long lasting anti-anxiety meds available besides the antidepressants.  Thanks in advance.

know the felling, same here, never any nerves before tx...now its quite a bit different. I'm having tremors all night...not mental stuff, but full body convulsions.

question,
1.how's your cholesterol, too low can contribute to this...

2.also, have you tried to get off of any drugs you used during tx....the antidepressants and antiaxiety drugs are hard to withdraw from and can cause rebound stuff thats very scary.
3. Have you read up on sam-e ??  this is the approach I'm going to try. Not only does it help levels of dopamine and serotonin etc, but it helps keep gluthione levels normal which is turn does your liver more favors than I can list here.

sorry for your trouble...don't think of these things as weakness, just realize your brain chemicals are out of balance.

I'm trying a brief stink on requip to get my dopamine levels up, until the sam-e kicks in, because I don't want to go back to an ssri, tycyclic, tetracyclic or benzo/benzolike drug, all of which are not advised with LD.
