Had My Biopsy...No Longer Living in Fear

Ok all you kiddies living in fear of Biopsy gather round so I may share my tale of bravery .....)   Seriously there does not exist a bigger baby on the planet as relates to medical issues and yet this morning I went for my biopsy and I am here to tell you it is a snap.   Hardest part is the waiting in the Hospital after....bring and Ipod if you have one .    So glad it is over.  So if you ever feared the dreaded Biopsy trust me ...get it done and feel better about where you are going ....peace

Good to hear youvé got it done I waited 5 years before I had mine done and it was after I had realpsed after first treatment.

I like to chare a tip I`ve got from my nurse, to you how are about to do it.

One thing that can happen ( not often but it has) is that the doc by misstake hits the gallbladder instead of the liver.
And thats not good, anyway my nurse told me to go up in the night and eat a sandwish and drink something as close to the permitted time as possible.

Me forinstance had a time for my biopsy  at 10am and I was not allowed to eat or drink anything 5 or six ours ( dont remember exact how long)  before 10am.

Lets say i went to bed 11 pm and get up 7 am there would be a gap of 11 ours with no food or water and the gallbladder gets bigger the longer time you hasn´t been drinking or eating anything and of course the -bigger the more easy to hit.

So I set the alarm went up at night had that snack and glas of milk and all went well.
I did google biopsy and read about the risks before I met with the nurse first time.

I´m pretty sure if I hadn´t mentioned the gallbladder risk i wouldn´t have got the tip from her.

Peace !!

Yep, that's the way it usually goes.  Most of us feel like an idiot afterwards for stressing so much.  Glad you got through it without any hitches.  Hope the results are good.
