anyone has hapatits c and diabetes

start tx jan 5 2004 and im a diabetes will this affect my tx...
and im also geneo ty 3....

The package inserts for interferon/ribavirin indicate that tx may increase glucose levels and I believe it even states that it can cause diabetes. My own experience has been that there is not a big impact on fasting or post prandial readings but I would suggest that you carefully monitor your glucose levels because everyone reacts to these drugs differently. I have had diet controlled diabetes for about 4 years then about two weeks ago I had a blood test and found I was HepC.

I am waiting for a biopsy in about 3 weeks Apparently I have had hepc for about 25 years.
