Good post by dragonslayer. Dr will check ur labs - mine weekly - to see how blood values are holding up.  Promacta is given for low platelets caused by Pegasys. RIBA can cause low hmg n  can help.
I knew going in I might need them. The dr is going to tweak dosages to get me thru tx. It's a big week for me dealing w it.. Good luck! Karen :)

Rescue drugs are drugs that combat the side effects from other drugs, I am on triple therapy, ribo/peg/ incivek (tx) and this triple cocktail...for me...has delivered lots of side effects. Everybody's body is different because of how we metabolize what we put in to our body.
If you are planning on starting any kind of drug treatment, you will need to plan out your life accordingly in case you experience side effects (sx) from therapy. This web site is a great place to talk to the real people that are experiencing the benefits as well as the difficulties of treating all kinds of ailments. Good luck with your health and know that we are here for you!
