My eyes had a yellowish tinge under the lower lid as my disease progressed.  It wasn't fully fledged jaundice, as such, which is prominent yellow of the whites of the eye.   I was told that it showed that my body/liver was having trouble breaking down fats.

Have you had your eyes checked for colored-blindness?  Maybe the rings are grey or pink which could indicate a blackeye or a case of pinkeye.

Good Luck,

Griz

"i am about to give up."

Yes, well, I hope it's the booze first.  With a sober mind things will make more sense and with a clear head those yellow brownish rings might not be such a big deal.  Maybe then you can focus on educating yourself about hepc and treatment options.

The only thing I've ever heard of that causes "yellowing" of the skin is jaundice - which is a sign of impaired liver function. Have it checked out.

We’re not doctors; just patients in here. That said, in the seven years I’ve been looking at HCV, I haven’t encountered or heard of it being responsible for yellowish-brown rings around the eyes. What has your doctor suggested it is?

More to the point, what are you doing in regards to HCV management; are you now or have you considered treatment for your disease?

Good luck; I hope you find answers to your questions,

Bill
