The Gold Bond used is in the Green Bottle with a Red Top.
That's the one everyone, including me, used to help relieve the itch.

Also, I took Benadryl. I think I took a two in the morning and 2 at night.
Read the directions, I may have forgotten exactly what I took in the morning, but I know I definitely took 2 at night. I know they sell both  at Target. 5 dollars for Gold Bond. They have reduced the size of the
bottle so it's a little cheaper now.

Stay out of the sun and don't bath in water that's too hot

Your platelets could be going down because of an enlarged spleen, a side effect of cirrhosis. There's nothing I know of that will increase platelet counts.
94 is not terribly low, you won't have major problems if in an accident, though you might want to avoid anything that thins the blood.

When I was doing treatment, the first time, mine went into the 20s. I was advised that the problem was, for example, if I were in a car accident and had internal bleeding, it could be very serious.
It's not that you won't heal from a simple cut.

I do hope you have a good hepatologist at a transplant center.
Best of luck.
OH

BTW: I'm assuming you meant decompensated cirrhosis.

I'm in stage B Child Pugh score, which means no treatment for me and it'll be very problematic to go thru the treatment at this stage with compensated liver. Will look for Ursodial in pharmacies.

By the way, my platelet count is going down whenever I go for blood test. The most recent one is 94 ^gl. How I can increase the platelet count? Any home remedies? Any impact if the count goes down to very low level? The docs that I talked to never gave me good answers.

Okay, I did look it up:
"Pruritus is one of the most common symptoms reported by people with
hepatitis C (20%), but is more commonly found in people with advanced
liver disease and cirrhosis.  Pruritus is itching that may be localized to a
specific part of the body such as hands and feet, but it can also be a gen-
eralized itching all over the body.  Some people even report that it feels like
their internal organs itch.  Pruritus can be related to high bilirubin levels,
autoimmune disease or dry skin, and can be a side effect of treatment.

I also looked at your profile, so it does look like you have cirrhosis, so you should try to get treatment.
In the mean-time, you should try to be as healthy as possible, no smoking, or drinking, and a healthy diet.
I also noticed heat made my itchiness worse, and spicey foods~
If you dont have Medical Insurance, they have Research Studies going right now, good luck

Just to get it straight, are you on Treatment meds, for Hep C, or do you just have Hep C, and you think your itchiness is related to it?
I had itchiness in my upper arms, with my Hep C, from elevated Bilirubin levels. I found if I NEVER itched it, then the itching would go away, but once I itched it, it got worse and worse.
If your itchiness is from elevted bilirubin levels, my doctor prescribed Ursodial for me, when I was pregnant, and had that itchiness.
If it is from treatment meds, I take Hydroxyzine, in some countries it is over the counter, but in the U.S. you have to get a Doctor to prescribe it.
Have you talked to a Gastro Doctor about your Hep C?

An antihistimine should take care of it.

I've read the the Hep C virus thrives in an overweight body. Back in the late 1980s, I had a body itch possibly from the Hep C (not nearly as bad as my itchy rash during tx). I was about 25 pounds overweight at the time, and interestingly, when I lost my excess weight the itching stopped.
