ok this is a qustion for the old timers?

hi, im just wondering is there anyone around on here who can remember when interferon was only being trialed for hep c interested to know what sort of results they were posting ref viral load reductions and the such like?

I am not sure what you are looking for exactly, but there are some current studies out on low dose interferon only used as maintenance to defer the degradation of the liver.  These trial results reflect that it is not helpful.

thanx, but im looking for results on mono therapy, which i know i didnt mention in the initial post (my bad) and in particular im kinda wondering about viral load reductions over about a 4 month period. fairly exact info im looking for  i know but im trying to compare it with something and im finding it difficult to find the info i want on the web hmmm? but thanx anyhow.

The SVR rate for geno 1's using Intron A (pre-peg) with ribavirin was 14%.
