I would try stevia, the dark liquid, if you can get it. It stings like crazy in the beginning but should heal up the sores quite fast. Also it tastes good, if you like liquorice. You can get it at a health food store or online. Buy the one that only contains stevia and water. It's made by boiling the leaf. It sounds very banal, but it does wonders for healing all kinds of wounds. Once the sores are healed, you can just take 1 drop several times a day.
I would check also with the doc though. If you have also have thrush (oral and vaginal thrush is very common during tx), he could prescribe you some fluconazole.
The liquid benadryl and maalox worked somewhat for me. swish and spit or swallow if your stomach is bothering you. Good Luck
I had the tongue ulcers very badly on treatment, they are very painful aren't they? The good news is that they are caused by the interferon and should go away within two weeks of stopping treatment.
The bad news for me was none of the fixes worked (Magic Mouthwash worked for some, also Dr. Jacobson told me to mix up a paste of Maalox and Liquid Benedryl which didn't help me either though I tried).
I hope one of those ideas can help you. They were not just a nuisance they really affected what I could eat and drink and everything. I hated them!
I had a few mouth sores earlier in my tx. They kind of came and went. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water... that seemed to make it a little less intense for me anyhow.
