Can you explain what you mean or what your doctor means when you say that your Hep C is only 1 percent? Are you talking viral load or is this a biopsy result? Same question for when you say it shows up only a little bit and other times it's heaps.
This doesn't make sense because with Hep C, either you have it or you don't. There is no inbetween. Your staging from a biopsy will not move up and down like that. So I'm thinking it's viral load and that you have a doctor who is assessing your need for treatment based on what your viral load is. I sure hope not .... but that's what it sounds like.

We're all scared of the unknown d. Take it a day at a time and be kind to yourself.
These are some heavy duty drugs and life isn't always pleasant while undergoing antiviral therapy but you'll get through it.
Post any questions you may have whether it's regarding test results, side effects, doctors recommendations or just to vent. Many on this board have been right where you are now and finished treatment so we a little experience under our belts and can guide or support you if you need it. All you have to do is ask.
Good luck with your treatment

Marinol ?? Isn't that Loni Ram spelled upside down?
Oh yeah, you did that.... duh.
Been on the Marinol :)
oh honey, you should give him a basic list of acronyms...
it would have helped me when I fist got here.
tx treatment
sx side effects
RVR rapid viral response (within 4 weeks)
SVR sustained viral response (undetectable post tx)
add to it for me :)
tx is an abbreviation for treatment. Treatment or tx consists or weekly injections or pegylated interferon and daily dosage of ribavirin to treat and cure hepatitis c.
Treatment duration usually extends 24 or 48 weeks, depending on the genotype.
Genotype 1 & 4 normally treat 48 wks. Genotype 2 & 3 treat 24 weeks.
