alt ast problem

my alt and ast were 101 and 135, i recieved the results from my primary physician.he was contacting my gastro,are these numbers anything to be concerned about,my gastro told me several weeks ago they were elevated.

I agree Ribman. They tell you your blood work results as if you're a doctor and you know what they're talking about when they throw all these big words around and what levels they're at. They just read them off with out taking a breath and you're like okay now are you going to explane what all of that means?

thanks for calming my nerves. i was und at week 8 and 12.hope to stay that way.it amazes me how most doctors never reveal much info about results,or explain treatment problems

There in only one number that counts while on TX  and that's VL.  Don't read to much into those #'s as will and sandy say.

Not sure which therapy you are on, but my ALT/AST jumped from 15/22 to 122/65 when I started Vic and now, 6 weeks later they are down to 18/18 and I am of course still UND!  So I wouldn't worry about those numbers.

The enzymes can bounce around some while treating ,so it may just be that.
When was your last PCR and what was the result..?.
