Forget the arms,,,use tummy or inner thighs.
Tritto!
I tried rotating but the thighs were killers for me...more redness and itching. Even with the added Procrit, my stomach seems to take it ok.
I only used my stomach for all 48 shots. I started out with a careful rotation, and then ended up just using any spot that looked like it hadn't been used for a while.
Yea, I don't think I'll do the arms any more.
The arm injection spots always seemed to stay red longer than the stomach or legs. I didn't know I had the choice since the arms were listed as part of the 'rotation' of injection location.
But this is the first time one has felt hot to the touch.
Thanks for the feedback!
I always do my shot in my stomach. More meat than legs. LOL I have never had any problems. I was told stomach or leg
I'm pretty sure the latest WBC was OK, based on the message they left for me last week. But I don't have a copy of the test myself, so I don't have the number handy. I wish I could just receive the test results via email.
I need to talk to them anyway and will call tomorrow and mention the hot injection spot.
My last test the lab only did one test and was supposed to do 2, so I'll be going back to the lab also tomorrow to get that 2nd test.
I think the one they missed was the one that would give me the enzyme levels, but the one they did was the wbc count.
I have noticed that things like small cuts and such seem to be taking longer to heal, and get kind of red during the healing process.
I also fought off a sinus/chest infection 2 weeks ago with the help of antibiotics. That cold hit me fast and hard, and the doctor did prescribe a (z-pack? something like that). It did seem to work and the sinus/chest infection has cleared up within a week.
Do you know your current white cell counts (WBC, neutrophils, etc.)? I'd say if it still shows signs of a possible infection tomorrow, try to get an appt. with your doctor. Cellulitis is nothing to fool around with while on tx. My nurse did my first shot in my arm, but said patients should use their stomach and thighs (top of leg, not sides).
