liver enzymes are 171

My liver enzymes are 171. Last year they were 130. I have been drinking more than normal. Also, my liver was split open in a motorcycle accident 27 years ago, it was gelled back together. I am 45. Is 171 way above normal or only a little high? Should I have an ultrasound? How can I heal it besides quiting drinking, which I have done immediately.
Thanks

yes, that is high. Have a biopsy done and get under good medical care for that liver and LAY OFF THE ALCOHOL even if you have to go to a support group.

get copies of your blood work and read the results and the range used to reference them. that way you will know what gauging tool was used and how far you strayed from the normal in the range.

Yep,,,That is kinda high.  I think the range for alt is something like 0 to 40 so you definitely need to make some changes to see what the cause is.  Drinking can elevate it and medicines etc....
