LAST Shot - DONE Deal - Prove 3 Phase II

Well I have gone the distance (once again), I have fought the fight (once again), and Once Again I am hopeful that I will be successful and SVR at 24 weeks post tx. :->

Thanks to everyone that has been so encouraging, I know that I drew strength from the words of many! One week of riba pills and everything is done. According to EASL the ARM B 48 weeks should be 'overkill' for HCV tx but glad I did it not only for me but that it might help others too.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again for your collective 'pat on the back' for a job well done... :->

Eric I think that Debby has a good idea as I will pitch on the rental if you don't want to invest in another boat just for our cruise (LOL). That would be a hoot; I would even travel to Sarasota for the event as likely the sailing opps here in Colorado are slim pickens.

Anyway, thanks to all and SVR to all and I just need a little notice since I'm a 53 yr old retiree to get there for our 'booze Cruise w/o booze'... only about a week.

SVR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of the best hopes and wishes for SVR go to you from everybody on the forum.........that is an awful lot of HOPE so we just KNOW you have gone and done it and can now start to put all of this behind you.

You and Andiamo the pioneers of new and better meds to come...MUCH braver than me!

Now...when Eric gets cruising again I think he should start an SVR cruise  - you know like a booze cruise without the booze!   :)

Congrats - I can't believe it's been that long already (but I sure bet you can!)

I'm happy for you and proud of you, good job......again:)

Congratulations! I'm sure you killed it with that 48 weeks tx.
Wishing you SVR and hoping you feel better FAST!

Missy, same to you, hope you reach SVR in the roll over tx and I'd say you are a warrior also.

Happy for all of you in that trial, think your all going to reach SVR, along with helping the research in what looks so promising.

Happy healing, LL

You guys are the reasons that I keep coming to this board. I get encouragment and recharged from reading everyones words etc. I hope I had my last night of hugging the toilet last night from the 'drugs' and will stop that as I finish the Riba in the next few days.

Jasper, you been around since before me I do believe and found your words on many occasions to be funny and encouraging; I appreciate it very much and will be thinking what you're thinking on the SVR.

Missy, you're a prover for sure and did it the hard way by having to go through Arm A first and then roll over. I'm sure you will do just fine and you're now a warrior as Jasper used to say. And Zazza, I hope its overkill in my case as I'm stage 4 and need all the help I can get.

Thanks to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was in prove 3 phase 2 last year... was in arm "a" - the placebo... fast forward to tonight, i'm taking my last dose of telaprevir (in the roll-over study) 12 weeks vx950, riba & interferon.  tomorrow, big day - 12 week labs.  by week 4 i was under 25, praying to who ever can hear that i'll be under 10 after this set of labs... then (hopefully) 12 more weeks of riba & interferon  to "seal the deal".  i'm a freckle nervous, but can't help but feel that i'm ( and all of us) are a part of something big!  congratulations to all who have had success on this trial, don't want to be selfish, but really hoping i can consider myself "one of the prove 3 warriors"!

Congratulations on finishing your trial and wishing you SVR at 24 weeks. Just keep a positive attitude and before you know it you will be there, Hey! Just a cake walk now, I touted my svr response just a tad early instead of an UND in my prior post but the gut is telling me that it is gone, gone, maybe gone but I am not worried about the maybe in the silent period, just staying positive going forward, again Congrats! and good luck!

We did do it didn't we! It was like a team effort in many aspects too!

Eric, with that new pic it almost doesn't seem right that you're not on your 'old' boat rubbing shoulders with Lithgow and the likes... :)

Thanks again for your support and encouragement!
