Herpes on both lower thighs?

Good morning.

I have had an outbreak of spots on both thighs. There is a substantial amount of spots on my upper and lower thighs, more so on the outside and on the back. I have two larger red spots on each thigh also? that have been there for quite a while like 7 weeks or something. about four days ago I notices some larger spots appear on both sides, two on the back of each thigh. They are very separated. behind knee, mid thigh & just below the buttocks
One has just popped and has scabbed a bit I can only tell though by taking a photo and zooming in that this has happened. the others are dark reddish, not painful, I can only feel one  when I pull my pants up.
I work all day on a computer and was wondering if they could be ingrown hairs or something else? I do have periodically itching but have always itched around groin area  & thighs.

I am worried about Herpes as I have had an encounter with a CSW about four months ago. It was protected Oral and she grinded me with a condom on for about 5 minutes or so and there was a substantial amount of time with her going down on me. At the time I thought I may of had some symptoms but was not sure as I had alot of anxiety.

my questions are

1.Can you have an outbreak on both sides of your body?
2.Would this be classed as an initial breakout after so long after the encounter?
3.I have has theses spots all over my thighs for nearly two months and more recently these larger ones. Does 3.Herpes have individual sores spread so far apart and for so long?
4.Is the Boxershort line around mid thigh or the whole thigh.
5.how long would the itching stay for? it does feel quite constant, sometimes worse but I feel as though it is always there, I am quite controlled and never itch it so I feel it keeps it at bay
6. If you have herpes on your lower thigh, does that mean you are also shedding on your penis? or just that particular area

I would very much appreciate your help as the lower thigh is always exposed to people and find so many contradicting answers on the internet

There is nothing in your symptoms that suggests herpes. It was incredibly low chance and would not show up 2-4 months later as an initial outbreak if you were infected.

To your questions:
1. Usually you don't, however some people experience widespread outbreaks in the boxer short area upon primary infection.
2. No, it would be 'recurrent'; in your case it is neither primary or recurrent.
3. No, herpes would resolve within a couple of weeks.
4. The genital ganglion finished mid thigh.
5. Males mainly experience itching associated with the sores and patches.
6. It isn't herpes related.

Herpes doesn't behave at all like this. Whatever the cause, it isn't herpes. To your questions:

1,2) An initial outbreak can be on both sides, but that would be within 2-3 weeks. And initial herpes only occurs at the direct site of inoculation, i.e. a directly exposed site like your penis etc. Certianly not the thighs.

3) Herpes doesn't behave at all like this. There are several other conditions that might do so.

4) The boxer shorts issue is only for recurrent outbreaks. This doens't count.

5) Itching doesn't matter one way or the other. All other issues show this isn't herpes.

6) Yes, you could also shed on the penis. But it isn't herpes, so not an issue.

This problem almost certainly has nothing to do with your CSW exposure 4 months ago. I suggest you stop worrying and stop trying to figure this out on your own. See a doctor to learn the cause and treatment for your dermatitis.

Good luck.
