Bikini wax? Newly dx with HSV-2

I'm newly diagnosed with HSV-2 and had a horrific first outbreak. Since then I've felt like I'm nearly in a chronic state of having another. Possibly nerve sensitivity or in my head. Anyway, I'm on suppressive therapy (500mg valcyclovir daily) and was trying to get back to my normal routine of getting a bikini wax however I'm not seeing much out there if it is likely to cause another outbreak. Anyone on this forum have any experience?

Thanks for the response. I was diagnosed via a culture of the lesion as well as blood work, but the lesion culture was the confirmatory test. It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced, so that's why I'm so conservative on any triggers that might cause another.

I was just curious if folks on here had any experience with getting waxed and having HSV2. My friends here that have it don't wax, so they couldn't give me any insight on personal experience.

Hi, no one really knows what causes outbreaks but the consence is that any body trama in the genital area could cause one.
How were you diagnosed with genital hsv2?
