Burning urination, cramping, std tests came back neg, not test for herpes, discharge

a week after my hernia surgery there was no catheter used but i tested negative for all stds but did not test for herpes but have no bumps or anything.  however i have this stinging pain when i urinate during and after, I also notice white spots when I open the tip of my penis and clear discharge. and my urine stream for the 1st second doesnt come out right.  i took azithromycine, metronidazole, and phenazopyridine.  my urologist didn't want me to finish doxycycline or cephalexin.  I also have abdominal cramps and loss of appetite.  haven't done a cytoscope in my urethra yet but I just don't know what it could be.  does this sound like herpes?

No, this doesn't sound like herpes at all, and I think you really need to work with your doctor to find the cause.

Have they done any imaging? You are very early post-op, and I'd worry more about complications from surgery than I would an STD.

My surgeon said the surgery wouldn't cause these symptoms.  But the urologist wants to do a blood drawn herpes test but that would only show antibodies and not an active infection.
Well, if something went wrong with the surgery it might. I'm not an expert on hernia surgery, but if there was a complication, it might cause an infection.

I mean, do the blood test for herpes, but make sure it's an IgG, not an IgM. At least rule it out, I guess. It won't tell you that it's causing your symptoms. Herpes doesn't cause cramping, though.

Ask the urologist for an ultrasound at least.
