Can I get herpes from sharing a toothpaste with someone infected ?

I shared my toothpaste with my cousin who is infected with herpes and after that I used that same toothpaste, can I get herpes from that ?
She has oral and genital herpes.

No, you won't get herpes from this. Herpes is spread by direct skin to skin contact - kissing, oral sex, genital to genital rubbing, sex, etc.

Did you just share the tube of toothpaste? Like you squeezed some and then she squeezed some, or she did first, and then you did? No, nothing transmits that way. Please don't treat her differently because she has oral and genital herpes.

People with herpes aren't walking hazards. You actually have to do things with them sexually to get it. You won't even share colds or the flu from sharing a tube of toothpaste.
