Can you post your HSV cure research links here?

I wanted to start an archive for research working on a cure for HSV, not vaccines or treatments. I found this article from 10 years ago. It would be great to see if any further developments were made:

The latest thing I could find on that is this, from 2014 - https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1931312814001036

I think we need to be really careful with hoping for a cure in our lifetimes. I don't want to sound all gloom and doom, but we are no where near a cure. If you read just the discussion section on the article I linked, you can see that.

Herpes resides in nerve cells, and to cure it, you need to figure out how to get into the nerve and not kill the nerve. Clearly, this isn't easy, or it would have already been done.

My suggestions would be to educate yourself about what living with herpes is like. You have ghsv1, if I'm correct. Do you know about shedding rates? Do you know that you are highly unlikely to ever transmit ghsv1 to anyone else?

Don't let the stigma of having an STD put your life on hold waiting decades for a cure that may not come. If you need help with this, we're here. If you need help beyond that, please consider getting professional assistance.
