Ulcer after 3 weeks of burning uretha? HSV 2? Miconazole?

So I had a slight burn on my penis with no lesions, no ulcers, and no urinating pain about 2 months ago 2 weeks after 2-3 sessions of unprotected sex.  STD exams came back negative except for HSV1.  I was prescribed cipro and the symptoms went away until 2 months later and everything came back exactly the same.  2 weeks into these symptoms again, my MD and I agreed that maybe its good if I try miconazole because maybe I'm dealing with a yeast infection.  My MD also prescribed cipro again.  So about 9 days into using miconazole (about 3 weeks into these recent symptoms), I feel a really strong sting and I go to the restroom, and I see a small ulcer next to the right of my urethral meatus.  I feel like I was getting better until this happened.  Is this herpes...even after 3 weeks of no visual symptoms??  Maybe its the miconazole because it really burns when applied to my penis?

I would ask to have the ulcer cultured and typed for HSV 1&2. Herpes symptoms can be subtle and are easily confused with yeast infections.

Thank you for your reply.  I'm gonna head off to an appointment literally in about 15 min to get it checked.
is the burning due to hsv 1?
Nope.  Got it checked out.  The doctor said it was just an abrasion probably from basketball and workouts.  The miconazole made it sting like a b****.    The doctor also said I can stay off the miconazole.  I don't even have to be on cipro either.  Just awaiting blood tests right now
