Let me preface this post by saying that I was tested 1 year and 6 months ago and tested negative for a full panel, negative on a blood test for HSV2 and positive for HSV1. A little over a week ago, I had protected sex with a woman I had met for the first time. The next day, I noticed that 4 small whitish/reddish raised bumps appeared in a line on the base of the shaft of my penis. They are each spaced about maybe half an inch apart. They have not changed shape or form since then and do not hurt. I have noticed a similar such bump on my scrotum and a cluster of 3 on my eyelid. They look similar but I guess it's possible that they may be unrelated. Additionally, there are half a dozen tiny red spots (flat, not raised - not painful to touch or itchy)(each about the size of a pinhead) scattered across my glans (one near urethral opening). About 2 days after the intercourse, I would feel nearly consistent burning and tingling at my glans. This sometimes felt a bit more like a shooting/stabbing pain. This continued for about 4 days. It does not burn when I urinate. No fever, sore throat, swollen glands or anything of the sort. I saw a urologist today who looked at it for 3 seconds and says it's "definitely an STD', he thinks HSV2. He recommended I take a blood test, but everything I read online said that even if I was infected I wouldn't develop antibodies within 1 week of infection. I asked him that question and he said that a blood test would show immediately if I was infected. I hate to be the "know it all" patient, but it just didn't make sense with literally everything I've read everywhere else. He prescribed acyclovir, clotrimazole + betamethasone dipropionate cream, and povidone-iodine solution. I'm a bit weary of using all of these if I have been misdiagnosed. I live in a country where pre-marital sex is against the law, therefore any type of STD testing or treatment is incredibly expensive. In addition, the quality of doctors is sub-par. Any thoughts here would be appreciated.
