Cold Sore Indicative of something else?

Hi all, I recently got my first cold sore in almost 20 years. I used to get them occasionally when I was a kid but now  I am in my early 30s and one popped up. Could these be potential triggers? - Increase in peanut/peanut butter consumption, running outside in the cold/wind?

I ask because about 3 months ago I gave a handjob to a man who had HIV but is undetectable. Now I got super anxious but everyone said I did not have a risk. My question is, what is the link between HIV and herpes if there is one? I don't really think I had any sort of risk, but my mind and my health anxiety are making the stress come back.

Any of those things can be triggers, but everyone has different triggers for cold sores. Have you been stressed, sick with something else, really tired, etc?

Sometimes, you can get outbreaks for seemingly no reason at all.

A handjob is no risk for HIV.

There's no connection with herpes and HIV.

You have oral herpes type 1. You've had it for a long time. It has nothing to do with your handjob.
