Could I have genital herpes?

I have had HSV-1 for several years now. I found a new cold saw about 2 hours ago. I applied some petroleum jelly to it and left it alone. About 10 minutes later I touched the skin to the right of my genitals. I did not actually make contact with my genitals but I am still rather concenred. Could I now get genital herpes?

You have an established oral hsv1 infection. Your body builds defenses against it spreading. You have nothing to worry about. You will not transfer the virus to your genitals.
Hope that helps

EDIT- I thought it might be worth adding that it hasn't burst yet, not sure whether or not that would make a difference.
