so I posted quite a long story/ question the other day, and I still have some questions. to save time i'll just say the major points which are, I've had four low risk sexual partners in my life, I've never had any sign, symptom, outbreak, sore, or lesion on my genitals, I've been abstinent for over two years, and had no sexual contact of any kind in that time, and I recently tested positive with a low 1.17 IgG test.
I've gotten some good feed back already, and most people say my chances of a false positive are pretty good. but my question is, is it possible that I've had this disease for over two years with no symptoms, and just happen to have a low igg?
and secondly, i'd like to get retested (preferably) with the Western Blot, but I understand that it costs 160-200 dollars. i'm an extremely broke college student, and i'm trying to pay off a wedding, I literally don't have them money to spend. so if I get retested at the same lab I went to first and they use the Herpeselect, what are the chances of getting an accurate reading, or will it just be the same possible false positive as before?
thank you for your help and feed back. I haven't slept in days and i'm completely consumed by this website and reading others stories.
