Anyone who can help????

Hi, thanks so much for taking the time to read my question, you guys do such a good job!!!!
Ok so last night i was with someone, i have genital herpes, not sure which type... We were naked and rubbing genitals for a while but no penetration, he also fingered me vaginally and anally. I thought i felt ok at the time but later that day i had prodromal symptoms so now im panicking thinking hes caught herpes! Any idea on the chance of that? Im freakin out!!!

hsv1 rarely sheds at all. I doubt what you experienced that you posted about was even herpes related - probably irritation from the manual stimulation.

no real reason to think your partner contracted hsv1 on his fingers from stimulating you.

yes, the blood testing is a good idea. once you have the results - post them here for me :)  Once we know what you have and what your partner has, I can answer all the questions you have accurately.

have you read the free herpes handbook yet?

Hi. I just tried to post on here but it didnt work, apologies if im repeating myself!
I went to the doctor today for my results. I didnt have a lesion so i could only have blood test to setermine type which came back as HSV1. Sooo i have a few questions....
1. Is blood test accurate at determining type?
2. Is HSV1 genital harder to transmit?
3. Does HSV1 shed less than HSV2?
4. Does HSV1 make it more likely for my partner to catch herpes whitlow from fingering me?
Sorry for all the questions!!! Thanks so much

if you need help with your blood test results, just post the numeric results here so I can help you - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.9 and hsv2 igg .33 or whatever they are.  A visual diagnosis of herpes without proper follow up testing was inadequate :(

Im not sure what type i have, its genital but i dont know if its HSV1 or 2. My doctor took a look years ago and just said I had herpes. I recently had a blood test and am awaiting results. I asked my doctor alot of questions but she didnt seem to know alot so im really lost.

do you get seen when you have these symptoms to be sure that indeed it's all herpes related? Many things like dryness and irritation can cause these symptoms so it's worth finding out what is herpes related and what isn't for you.

do you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally? how were you originally diagnosed?

yes, you shed for at least a few hours before active recurrences start.

it's not a risk for him to use the same hand to masturbate with after wards.

Hi. Um i got a recurrence with no lesions, just all the symptoms that last about a week.  Its hard to say because i havent had lesions for years but i get the symptoms of itching and stuff.  What about him contracting it from fingering me and then masturbating straight after?

can you transmit genital herpes from naked outer course? yes you can but the risk of such is really low.  I honestly wouldn't worry much about this encounter you had at all.   did you get an obvious recurrence or was it just some symptoms in the genital area that never progressed to an obvious recurrence?
