Thank you Grace, Im trying not to make her worry about transmitting this to me. She stills worries about it but the way I see if it rarely sheds and is unlikely to be transmitted then why worry. Heck Ill be willing to put cream on her sore if she lets me lol Im trying to look at it as a positive and something that will bring us closer. If I end up getting it then at least Ill know what to anticipate and how to work around it the way I am doing with her.
just glad you found us for your questions as well as to help her :)
Great, I will let her know that. Shes been going crazy because her doctor doesnt give her clear cut answers. Whenever she asks the doctor a question the doctor either tells her take them then the next day her doctor tells her its up to you. So it seems like no one knows for sure what to do with ghsv1 besides the people here!
hsv1 genitally doesn't reoccur much at all on average. it also is only active on average about a dozen days out of the year. Really no reason to take them at this point.
She's not sure whether she should take them or not. Her GYN said it wont hurt and for peace of mind but she doesnt want to take it if it wont do anything to lessen her reccurence or shedding rate.
no harm by not taking antivirals. it won't make her get sick more often or anything else.
