Stupid stripper incident

Doctor,

I'm 35 and married.  I made the very stupid mistake of frequenting a strip club in Las Vegas about a monh ago. During the visit, I was taken to the back room with a dancer.  The dancer provided me with a little bit of an extra and pulled out my penis. She turned her body forward and allowed my penis to slide between her buttocks (while wearing a thing)to completion. The whole thing lasted maybe 5 minutes or less and had no direct genital contact. No other part of my body came into contact (I.e scrotum or penetration) .  She had her bottom panties on and I may not have touched her skin to skin contact the entire time, but enough to where I've felt scared ever since.  I did not penetrate any part of her body. I did not visibly see any sores or anything on her body.  I havent had 1 symptom of herpes but my mind is killing me. Exactly 3 weeks to the day later, I went in for a 10-panel.  I hadn't been tested for anything in a very long time. Since before I met my wife. So after nervously waiting for the results, all tests came back negative with the exception of hsv-1 antibodies.  My stomach dropped, but the woman who gave my results said this is a verson of HSV in which most people test positive for.  I have never had a cold sore and not sure where I would have picked it up. I am very happy that nothing came back possitive in any other aspect.  I have not had any symptoms of herpes or any legions appear of any kind in my life or within the last few weeks since the incident. But now I'm reading that 3 weeks may have been too early to detect hsv-2 signs.  This fact keeps me scarred that something may indeed still be looking over my head. I just want this whole bad experience to be over and for my regret and guilt drive me to never walk this road again.  All of this while my wife and I just started trying to conceive.

Questions:
1.)  how accurate is my hsv-2 negative at this 3 week mark? What are my odds of having hsv-2 but it being dormant.
2.). I haven't shown any symptoms, am I being paranoid?
3.). Am I contagious for hsv-2 if I do have it and show no signs? (Flu, legions, ect)
4.). Could I be putting our conception attempts in jeaopardy or my wife's health to conceiving?

I just want this whole event behind me.

No value in WB. It is only marginally more accurate than a commercial HSV2 test and you need wait longer, at least 16 weeks, before taking this test (and it takes 2-3 weeks before results.)

Fleetwood, I highly thank you for your response.  Waiting for anyone to respond and connect in a situation is a lonely place. I thought the 3 week mark was long, but now I'm realizing that all may not be conclusive. I was considering even getting another at 6 weeks, but simply a herpes test and now the full panel.  At this point I'd throw any amount of money at just knowing for sure. I know that in the back of my mind I felt the situation was low risk, and had it happened 10 years ago I may never have even gave it a second thought. But I did and am concerned until I know for sure. 12 weeks is a long time to know. Every day I wake up and rush to the bathroom to ensure nothing new has popped up over night.  My mind almost is manifesting a mental itch, when there isn't, nor is there any sores.  I think me investigating my genitals is causing more than anything, but who could stop.

Is there any value in doing a western blot?  Is it possibly more accurate in timing and value?

The quick blood test was a great thing to do. I'd suggest this is pretty conclusive that you have had an oral HSV1 infection since your youth.

You describe a low risk episode for a HSV2 transmission. However under the circumstances I'd attempt to eliminate the risk. No symptoms is clearly a good sign but not definitive for herpes. The risk was in in thousands to start with and even longer odds now.

If however unlikely it is that you do have HSV2 you are infectious, more so straight after infection as your body's immune system is only learning to fight the virus.

HSV2 does not impact fertility. Carrying a pregnancy with HSV2 is something that needs to be monitored.

For all concerned, maybe it is best to have 12 week test.
