Chimerex is another that I read up on yesterday. It is hoped to be used for life threatening viruses and HSV 1 and 2. The DRACO drug, after speaking with the lead scientist, is having funding issues. The money they've received from NIH is running out and is only enough to support one scientist, not the 4 included in the research. They can only receive funding from government entities and well established corps or businesses. Theorists argue that big pharma is only interested in maintaining life and not healing. For some, therein lies the problem to not finding a cure for things. I hope that's not the case but I can see how it can be true.
Terri Warren has a terrific journal post she made a few months ago on up to date research for herpes. worth checking out what she posted.
also we don't have cures for any viruses. if it was easy to do, we'd have cured the common cold years ago.
Is it true?? Moderators, do you see any hope with such studies.. Can you please shed some light on the research that had been carried out in past?? And why is it so difficult to find a cure for herpes...
