Has my husband caught OHSV2?

My husband has had GHSV2 for nearly 9 years now and performed oral sex on me 5 days ago. Afterwards I noticed a paper type cut but was unsure whether this was a un-noticed OB or just because of a prolonged session! Today he is feeling quite run down, just a bit itred with body aches. Nothing too bad, but it has got me worrying. He had a intra oral ob a few years ago after dental surgery so I am assuming he has OHSV1? What are the chances this is a new OHSV2 infection assuming it was a active OB and he already has OHSV2 and GHSV2 antibodies?

Thank you so much. I just got a bit confused about auto innoculation and re-infection. Even if he had come in to contact with a sore when performing oral, could the hsv2 not take up new residence in the trigeminal ganglia? We're not really bothered about the hsv2 but if we were to contract it orally would just want to be careful around our children, kissing etc.

No chance at all. His HSV-2 antibodies protect his system from any re-infection with the same type, regardless of site. The antibodies are in the blood, which has access to the whole body.
